WE'RE GOING TO RUN ONE AND THEN RUN THE OTHER.

THE FIRST ONE IS TO CANVAS THE RESULTS.

WE'RE GOING TO BEGIN WITH THAT.

SO I'M GOING TO CONVENE THE CITY OF AUSTIN, A SPECIAL CALLED MEETING HERE TODAY ON MAY 17TH, 2022.

UH, THE TIME IS NINE 15.

WE ARE IN THE BOARDS AND COMMISSION ROOM.

WELCOME EVERYBODY BACK TO THE BOARDS AND COMMISSION ROOM, UH, HERE AT, UH, AT CITY AT CITY HALL.

UH, WE HAVE, UH, TWO OF OUR COLLEAGUES, UH, PARTICIPATING REMOTELY TODAY.

UH, COUNCIL MEMBER KELLY IS REMOTE COUNCIL MEMBER HARPER.

MADISON IS REMOTE AND WILL BE ON AND OFF WITH US AND THEN BACK AND FORTH.

UH, AND THEN WE HAVE, UM, NINE OF US HERE PRESENT TO THE BALANCE OF THE NINE PRESENT IN THE BOARD AND COMMISSION ROOM ON

[1. Approve a resolution canvassing the results of the May 7, 2022 special elections.]

THIS SPECIAL CALLED MEETING.

WE JUST HAVE ONE ITEM AND IT IS TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION CANVASING, THE RESULTS OF THE MAY 7TH, 2022 SPECIAL, UH, ELECTION.

AND THIS MEETING IS CALLED TO ORDER.

AS YOU KNOW, UNDER STATE LAW, ONLY TWO COUNCIL MEMBERS ARE NECESSARY FOR A QUORUM TO CANVAS AND ELECTION.

WE'RE GONNA TAKE UP ITEM NUMBER ONE TO APPROVE THAT RESOLUTION CANVASING THE RESULTS OF THE MAY SEVEN SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN THE MAY 7TH ELECTION.

THE RETURNS OF THE ELECTION SHOW THAT THERE WERE 58,119 VOTES FOR AND 9,857 VOTES AGAINST PROPOSITION.

A UH, BEFORE WE TAKE UP A MOTION, IS THERE ANYONE WHO IS REGISTERED TO SPEAK ON THIS, UH, ITEM? NO ONE REGISTERED TO SPEAK.

IF THAT'S THE CASE, THEN WE WILL PROCEED.

UM, IS THERE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE RESOLUTION CANVASSING AND ACCEPTING THE RETURNS FOR THE MAY 7TH SPECIAL MUNICIPAL, UH, ELECTIONS DECLARING THAT PROPOSITION A IS ADOPTED COUNCIL MEMBER POINT.

THIS MAKES THAT MOTION COUNCIL MEMBER ELLIS SECONDS, THAT MOTION, UM, COLLEAGUES, IS THERE ANY DISCUSSION ON THIS ITEM? UH, HEARING NONE.

LET'S TAKE A VOTE.

ALL THOSE IN FAVOR.

RAISE YOUR HAND, PLEASE.

THOSE OPPOSED IT'S UNANIMOUS ON THE DYESS.

ALL COUNCIL MEMBERS VOTING AYE, MOTION PASSES ON A VOTE 11 TO ZERO.

THAT WAS ALL THE BUSINESS IN THIS SPECIAL CALLED MEETING.
