Recommend approval to negotiate and execute a contract with VEOLIA WATER TECHNOLOGIES, INC. dba KRUGER, to provide an ammonia reduction pilot system at the Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Plant, in an amount not to exceed $91,000.
Recommend approval to award and execute a 24-month contract with FERGUSON ENTERPRISES INC. DBA FERGUSON WATERWORKS, to provide polyvinyl chloride water and sewer pipes, in an estimated amount of $260,240, with three 12-month extension options in an estimated amount of $130,120 per extension option, for a total contract amount not to exceed $650,600.
Recommend approval to negotiate and execute an interlocal agreement between the City of Austin (“City”) and the Capital Metro Transportation Authority (“Capital Metro”) for the City to reimburse Capital Metro for an amount not to exceed $30,000 for costs related to the design and construction of an oversized water main and appurtenances associated with the Capital Metro “Downtown Station” located at 401 East 4th Street, as referenced in the master interlocal agreement between the City and Capital Metro approved by City Council on May 4, 2017. Recommend approval to negotiate and execute a professional services agreement with CAROLLO ENGINEERS, INC., (staff recommendation) or one of the other qualified responders for Request for Qualifications Solicitation No. CLMP215 to provide engineering services for the Northeast Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion to 1.5 Million Gallons per Day project in an amount not to exceed $500,000 for preliminary engineering phase services. Recommend approval to negotiate and execute a professional services agreement with RJN GROUP, INC., (staff recommendation) or one of the other qualified responders for Request for Qualifications Solicitation No. CLMP224 to provide engineering services for the Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study at the Walnut and Little Walnut Basin Areas in an amount not to exceed $800,000. Recommend approval to negotiate and execute a financing agreement with the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) for a 20-year low interest loan in the amount of $45,175,000 through TWDB’s State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) loan program, for the implementation of multiple capital improvement projects associated with Austin Water’s wastewater and reclaimed water systems.
Recommend approval to execute a construction contract with RS ELLIS, INC / SOUTHWEST CORPORATION, for the Walnut Creek Wastewater Treatment Lab and Administration Building HVAC Rehabilitation project in the amount of $2,483,881 (base bid + allowances) plus a $248,388.10 contingency for a total amount not to exceed $2,732,269.10.(District 1)

Recommend approval of Service Extension Request No. 3473 for water service to an 88.2 acre tract on FM 1626 Rd approximately 0.7 miles west of Bliss Spillar Rd within the City’s 2-mile Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction, Austin Water’s service area, and partially within the Desired Development Zone and Drinking Water Protection Zone. 9.
